Avient Corporation has just launched several new recycled content materials within its reSound™ R portfolio. One of these, reSound R VX TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers) is formulated from Oceanworks® material. This particular line of sustainable materials includes 25% post-consumer recycled materials and up to 40% post-industrial recycled material.

This new formulation illustrates the power of collaboration between manufacturers who are committed to furthering sustainable solutions. Avient is a founding member of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, and became aware of Oceanworks through its participation in the Alliance’s accelerator program.

End uses for reSound R VX TPEs include personal care products, lawn and garden tools, outdoor goods, office supplies, footwear, and houseware durables.
